ECHO Monitoring and Control System (EMCS)
The EMCS is the dashboard of the ECHO system, providing quick analysis in terms of energy usage and can display real-time PUE as well as other energy ratios and data relating to system health.
Sensors in the air streams of the IT cabinets and the ECUs ensure that each system component maintains precisely the right temperature and pressure. As the heat dissipation from hardware changes, so the ECHO system reacts and the cooling capacity is increased or decreased to match.
The airflow to the room is derived from rack demand, so that exactly the right quantity of air is provided.
Although the robust, open architecture of the control system enables fully transparent user interface, both at local and remote level, it is also secure in terms of access and security. Multi-layer password protection and/or biometric interface mean only qualified or security cleared personnel can access the core settings.
