ECHO Cooling Units
The optimised ECUs provide the primary heat transfer of the cooling system. The ECUs maintain a temperature differential equivalent to the IT hardware by varying the air volume. This enables the ECHO system to operate with high water temperatures to offer unrivalled levels of free-cooling.
Airflow demand and temperature are derived separately, so lightly loaded data centres are no colder than heavily populated data centres; only the airflow varies.
Micro-processor control, direct drive EC fans and latest chilled water coil technology all contribute to making the ECHO system one of the most efficient available.
